  • PerfOps creates lasting results.  This is accomplished by addressing the needs of the client’s team while achieving the project objectives.  Clients achieve more the longer we are involved, rely on us less over time, and are left with the resources to sustain the solution.

  • We focus primarily on lot traceable manufacturing and distribution.  Approximately 70% of our work is in food and beverage, from the processing of fresh agricultural products through every production and distribution process to delivery in all food channels.  The remainder of our projects are a mix of nutritional supplements, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, botanicals, medical products and similar industries.  We specialize in process and advanced assembly related manufacturing and the products these facilities produce.  We also address the needs of construction projects related to manufacturing and distribution facilities.  This includes construction projects for companies as well as sub-contractor operations.

  • All solutions must align with the business.  Technology is costly and typically disruptive to implement, and must be optimized, maintained and sustained.  Implementing technology without regard to how it fits the business needs is wasteful and does damage if not aligned with the needs of the business.  Seeking first to understand, PerfOps starts all projects from a position of understanding each businesses’ value proposition to its customers and stakeholders.

We often see troubled projects that never had a chance to succeed because they started off without clear objectives and a reasonably thorough understanding of the work.  Agile without understanding is chaos. “Seek first to understand.”

We believe in simplifying the work first so as to generate simpler solutions which are more easily sustained. Proceeding with overly complex solutions adds to risk, cost, timeline and will not provide an optimized solution.  One of our team members coined the phrase “Simplicate don’t complify” many years ago and we apply this to all design solutions.

Once simplified, solutions needs to be standardized. Besides reducing project implementation cost, there are long term benefits of standardized solutions such as reducing training time, adoption by new employees and greater sustainability.  This is especially true when developing best practices to fit each specific need.  One of our client CFO’s likes to say “best practical practices” and we love that term because it expresses our philosophy exactly.
