  • PerfOps prefers to start new warehouse improvement projects with an assessment which addresses people, process and technology. Our assessments compare your operation to best practices for similar operations in our experience, as well as provide tailored, detailed recommendations for improvement. Where systems are already in place, objectives and constraints are known, then we can move directly into project planning and execution to meet your targeted needs.

  • PerfOps often applies Goldratt’s TOC (Theory of Constraints) to warehouse operations for purposes of optimization. Our approach looks at both internal and external constraints and develops processes within your organization to address current constraints and work the TOC cycle toward continuous improvement.

  • There are many options in WMS today, from functionality built-in to ERP, to “WMS Lite,” to full blown WMS solutions. Our principal has been implementing WMS since 1988. With literally hundreds of implementations under our belts we know how to select software then plan and implement WMS. Our standardized methods are adapted to your specific needs to achieve the desired result with your team, on your timeline and budget.

  • PerfOps built our WMS implementation methodology prior to our ERP methodology. We have proven methods evolved since the early 1990s for planning through product and vendor selection and from solution design to implementation. We are often called on to develop your project manager, provide project management ourselves or with a 3rd party, and to form and facilitate executive oversight using our proven project governance methods.

  • When WMS functionality is not inherently part of an ERP solution, we are experts at designing and implementing integrations to ERP. For modern systems, such integration costs have dropped due to the advent of standardized interfaces, but knowing how much automation to implement, how to operate and maintain such interfaces is part of our skill set. When involved from the start we will ensure such integrations are well-planned and executed to success. If you are already having difficulty in this area, we can step in to get the effort back on track.

  • PerfOps principal developed a storyboarding method to design how a future state process with WMS will operate in your specific environment. This helps users envision the new solution while ensuring technology partners keep your environment in mind while configuring the system (a point which is often missed).

  • PerfOps is often called in to accelerate slow moving warehouse management projects or turnaround a failing WMS project. We are also frequently asked to come in after go live to improve operating efficiencies and resolve issues achieving original objectives. We quickly assess, identify root causes and work with your team and provider(s) to get the project back on track (and keep it there).

  • One of PerfOps’ core aims is to develop your team to not only operate the system effectively, but to sustain and optimize systems and processes using CI methods over the life of the solution.
