At the core of PerfOps’ numerous benefits over traditional consulting firms is our passion for our client’s success.  Our team members have elected to work together to solve project objectives while always looking out for the client’s long-term interest.  Our diverse group addresses technology, operations and human factors with smaller teams who have broader experience sets, providing greater value.

  • Project Professionals – Our core team is comprised of team members who have built their careers on providing project services to companies.  These professionals govern and/or manage projects and achieve the desired objective while ensuring a smooth transition to the owner’s team for sustaining in the long term.  Our professionals back each other up and remain available to clients on an as needed basis, many of whom have done so for 20 or more years as their client’s firms have grown and transformed.

  • Senior Executives – Our core team also includes team members who led companies and managed functions, achieving objectives using in-house talent as well as consultants and professional service firms.  Their perspectives based on careers spent inside owner’s staffs helps PerfOps projects better understand client views, leading to more value for our clients.

  • Specialists – There are times when specialists are needed.  Our group includes operations specialists in many specific functional areas, as well as accounting/finance, technology, change management, executive coaching and leadership development.  We bring such specialists to projects in highly effective, fractional ways without large onboarding efforts or long-term commitments.

  • Partner Firms – PerfOps maintains relationships with a number of companies providing similar and/or complementary services, as well as products which our projects need.  These firms are all proven to us, with many having been partners for over 10 years and others with whom our consortium members have been working with for 20+ years.

Our answer to the question “what is a consortium?” is this: “A group of professionals working together because they want to.”  Enough said.

  • PerfOps is often called in to provide assessments of an organizational structure, or a team’s readiness for a technology or operations improvement. Our proficiency in organization development is optimized on technology projects and operations initiatives. PerfOps knows how to assess how an organizational structure is going to enhance or impede the successful implementation of a technology project or operations initiative. The same is true for the teams involved. We have associates in our group who specialize in executive coaching, organizational development, training systems and methods – everyone in the group is focused on projects and initiatives. We may also be able to help with larger organizational development needs, but most often this is after we gain a deeper understanding of the business by working with a client team for some time.

 OUR FOUNDER

Gene started his own engineering implementation company in 1984.  Managing the company for 18 years, he was able to grow it into one of the largest control software systems integrators in California. Along the way Gene also co-founded and managed a high tech distribution company supplying and servicing industrial automation products from IBM, Square D and others. 

Along with the considerable systems and operations skills developed during these years, the business lessons learned enable Gene to provide real world experience in all aspects of operating a business.

Since 2002 Gene has been leading projects as the principal consultant for Performance Operations, addressing the needs of manufacturers and distributors, typically those involved in food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, chemicals and other lot traceable industries and those requiring serialization.
